Commission or Discount
To activate your trade discount or commission, an initial spend of R15 000 or more is required. This purchase amount is not accumulative and must be made in a single transaction. Trade discount/commission applies to all goods, with the exception of:

Sale or promotional items (including Bargain Box items)
Delivery charges
Magazines

Commission or discount may be applied in the following ways:

At the point of sale (till)

Commission/discount deducted at the till is only valid if:

The Trade Account Number or associated email address is supplied, and
The person purchasing appears on the list of authorised purchasers provided on your application form.

By EFT payment
Commission paid via EFT is processed before the 25th of each month. Please note that bank clearance times may cause delays.

Trade applicants and their designated company members are the only parties permitted to purchase and receive a discount from Block & Chisel. Clients of trade applicants may not benefit from the discount unless the trade account holder is present. Invoices with a trade discount applied can only be issued in the approved trade company’s name. Block & Chisel does not take responsibility for the misuse of commission or discount. Confidentiality between yourself and your client remains your responsibility. Any misuse of the trade account number may result in the cancellation of your commission/discount.

Storage
We do not offer storage. Merchandise that is being collected should be collected as soon as possible after purchase. Any runners or drivers collecting items must:

Present valid paperwork (receipt of payment)
Provide valid identification

Appro Service
We do not offer an appro service to any of our clients, including trade. However, we do offer a 3-day returns policy, provided that the items are returned in their original condition.

Annual Review
Trade profiles are reviewed annually and adjusted according to purchase behaviour. A minimum expenditure of R200 000 within a 12-month period is required to maintain your trade discount.
