About the range

With pieces woven nearly half a century ago, our new and exclusive range of one-of-a-kind Turkish rugs is a testament to the craft of rug-making. Each piece was carefully selected to be reworked and restored, making them unique. Originally crafted from either a cotton and wool blend or 100% hemp, these rugs have been refurbished to ensure just the right balance of vibrance is restored while allowing the rugs' charming imperfections to shine.

Care & Maintenance

Rugs

Cotton Rugs:

Machine wash in cool water on a gentle cycle, rinsing thoroughly. Tumble dry on low setting. Place large rugs on a vinyl or concrete floor or place an old blanket beneath them to prevent creasing. Sponge commercial carpet cleaning foam over the surface and rub it in according to the product directions.

Wool Rugs:

Vacuum often. Rotate regularly (annually should be fine) so your rug receives even wear. Blot and remove any stains as soon as they happen. Professionally clean every two or three years, if foot traffic is high.

Sisal & Jute:

Vacuum regularly and avoid spills. Should spills occur blot up immediately with colourfast clean cloth. Dry area with hair drier. Liquid spills, including water, will cause watermarks so dry immediately.

Viscose rugs:

Rugs made using Viscose should be placed away from potentially damp areas as the fibre is highly absorptive. Should a spill occur, aim to dry the affected area immediately. If possible, treat your Viscose rug with a rug protector treatment before final placement.

LTD Turkish rugs

Routine Maintenance: Gently brush or vacuum vintage rugs weekly using a soft brush or gentle vacuum setting to protect fibres.

Spot Cleaning: Immediately blot spills with a clean, white cloth to prevent stains. Avoid harsh chemicals and scrubbing. For tough stains, consult a professional.

Rug Pads: Use rug pads to prevent slipping, add stability, and reduce wear.

Environmental Factors: Protect rugs from direct sunlight to prevent fading and avoid high-humidity areas to prevent mould.

Professional Cleaning: Schedule professional cleaning every few years for thorough maintenance, especially in high-traffic areas.

Storage Tips: Roll rugs with the front side inward, wrap in breathable fabric, and store in a cool, dry environment to prevent damage.
